Splendid City version 5.4 adds the new standings
statistic 'games back' or GB, indicating the number of games (to a fractional
degree) that a ranked team is behind the division leader.
The stat is calculated in accordance
with user defined points assigned for wins, losses and ties. For a baseball
style result, users can assign 2 points for a win, 0 points for losses (as well
as 1 point for a tie if applicable). This point distribution will give the
typical half game back fractional
result.
Accordingly a new user option
has been added to include this standings parameter in published output. (See the
SC options/preferences --> Output --> Standings
panel)
With the release of version 5.4,
Splendid City boasts unparalleled features for sports standings. No other
software package available carries this level of support for scheduled
standings statistics.
