SC v6.7 now saves project files atomically.
SC version 6.7 now saves a backup of the original
Splendid City [.scproj] project file prior to overwriting it.
Splendid City version 6.7 now saves project files
atomically, in other words, creates a backup of the original project file prior
to writing new changes to it preserving any previous data prior to overwriting
the file. This has the advantage that if your machine should crash while saving
a file, you do not run the risk of losing the contents of both the old
(last-saved) and the new.
Back up
projects are saved to a folder in the Splendid City application data directory
and are given an incremental time string and .bak file ending. To restore a
Splendid City project from a backup file, simply delete the text in the file
name after the .scproj extention. This will allow users to open the files in the
Splendid City application again.
