Splendid City web site knocked downed for the weekend
An unwitting Verizon phone company worker
accidentally disconnects Niagara Software
On January 20th, 2006, while administering phone
line repairs, an unwitting Verizon phone company worker disconnected the copper
line that feeds the Niagara Software site home, resulting in the Splendid City
site services being off line for 3 days. As the damage was done late Friday, it
took the duration of the weekend, where employees do not work, to repair the
damage.
SplendidCity.net came back
online and running at full capacity on Monday January 23, 2006. This was the
first incident of it's kind since the Niagara Software feed was established 6
years ago.
