Splendid City preferences format updated
The SC preferences data storage format has been
changed!
The Splendid City options/preferences file format
has been changed to the XML format, allowing better persistence of user
preference data across upgrades. As the file format has changed in v4.6, users
who upgrade to this version from a previous version will have their current
options/preferences overwritten and set back to the factory default
values.
Users are recommended to make a
record (either using screen shots or by notes) of their current Splendid City
options prior to updating the software. Important options that will be changed
include:
* Scheduling
options
* Output Format
Choices
* CSV
Import/Export
* Standings
options
* HTML
Style
* Publishing options [FTP / web
templates choice / home page choice &
data]
Please make the necessary steps
to back up your preferences or wait for the appropriate off season time to
update your software. Once this update has been applied, the SC preferences will
persist over subsequent updates and allows for the easy exchange of preference
information between SC users.
